AHa: Arie Hamoen
1986: MSc degree in Metal Science
Master thesis: continuous stir casting and extrusion of an AlSi8 alloy.
The actual (stir) casting and extruding of AlSi8 billets. A mathematical model and a physical (perspex) model were used to understand the casting and extrusion processes.
2018: MA degree in Philosophy of management and organisation.
Master thesis: Handbook Metallurgy, about the soul of staalmeester.
This handbook does not contain solutions for metallurgical problems but explains how a metallurgist thinks.

The Hardness of Steel. The Sharpness of Mind.
My name is Arie Hamoen. In a rapidly evolving industrial world, I support metal-producing and processing companies across the globe in solving their most persistent technical and logistical challenges. I operate at the unique intersection of two seemingly distinct worlds: Metallurgy and Metaphysics.
The Engineer (MSc, TU Delft): Delivers the hard, exact science of crystal lattices, phase diagrams, and process optimization.
The Philosopher (MA, Philosophy): Delivers methodical inquiry, logical reasoning, and the capacity to think beyond established frameworks

Professional Expertise
As a Delft-trained engineer (MSc), I combine fundamental material science with extensive (over 40 years) industrial experience.
Strong Philosophy
As a philosopher (MA), I bring conceptual clarity and analytical depth to reduce complex problems to their core essence
Personalized Support
AHa-Met-Consult provides independent, strategic advisory services that structurally reinforce your metallurgical processes.
"Not every process deviation results in a product defect, but every product defect is the result of a process deviation."

“Our mission is simple: We believe that Sustainable Steel Production requires Perfect Process Control, starting with a fundamental understanding of the processes. I lead this mission with a personal commitment to integrity, honesty, and transparent craftsmanship.”
“With deep gratitude to the Creator for the gifts of life, health, and reason, which form the foundation of everything I do.”
“A model is the perfect way to bridge science and experience. Both physical and computer-based models are invaluable tools for understanding complex processes.”
